Composing lunch boxes that are not only healthy, tasty, but also visually attractive does not have to be laborious. Check it out!

A healthy meal can be a great support for maintaining a high level of creativity, concentration and motivation during many hours spent outside the home, at work or at school.

To create the perfect takeaway meal, you should compose it from the following layers:

  • base, which will be wholemeal bread, pancakes, pasta, groats, rice or cereals,
  • filling protein, i.e. lean meat, fish, cheese, tofu, chickpeas or other legumes,
  • colorful additions, such as vegetables and fruit,
  • topping, which will be the addition of olive oil or other vegetable oils, nuts, seeds or avocado.

Lunch boxes prepared in this way will provide you with energy for long hours outside the home, and by maintaining a stable blood sugar level, they will not cause fatigue or drowsiness. Below you will find suggestions that will work perfectly:

1. Pancakes or tortillas:

  • with hummus, slices of roasted chicken, cherry tomatoes, avocado, red onion and a mix of salads,
  • with natural cheese, cold-smoked salmon, avocado, strips of green cucumber and rocket.

2. Yogurts:

  • with the addition of sugar-free granola, a spoonful of walnuts, an apple, half a teaspoon of honey and cinnamon,
  • in the form of a smoothie bowl, blended with half a banana and millet, sprinkled with blueberries, chia seeds and almond flakes.

3. Bowl:

  • Italian style: made of whole grain penne pasta, slices of roasted chicken, a mix of vegetables, dried tomatoes, sprinkled with parmesan,
  • vegetarian: made of brown rice, mixed with chickpeas, mixed salad, avocado, a spoonful of pumpkin seeds, drizzled with your favourite sauce.

4. Cocktails:

  • based on a plant-based drink (e.g. soy) with the addition of spinach, banana and cocoa,
  • based on natural yoghurt with the addition of spinach, avocado and banana.
